If you set a goal and hit it but your values are left by the wayside, did you really get what you want? Everyone has values, and in financial planning everyone has goals, but those values don’t often seem to get into the conversation. My guest today will help us get started on it.

Daniel Wrenne is the owner of Finance for Physicians. Daniel loves helping people use their finances to live better lives. Ultimately, he wants to live a life worth imitating and help others do the same. Above all, he values his faith in Christ and his family. Most of his spare time involves wrestling his boys — Noah, Henry, and Andrew —coaching soccer, and spending time with his wife, Alison. It should also be noted he has a pretty serious hot sauce obsession.

In this episode Carl White and Daniel Wrenne discuss:

  • What Daniel means by values-based investing
  • If values or goals are more important, and what happens if they disagree
  • What the discussion about values with clients looks like
